Christian Audigier presented Ed Hardy swimwear Spring 2009 Collection along with casual wear at the Mercedes-Benz Los Angeles Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios in Culver City on Monday, October 13, 2008.
Audigier says he took 1980s street style for inspiration of his bold and colorful new collection titled Street Fame.
Models strode on the black-and-white checkerboard runway in Ed Hardy characteristic tattoo designs of familiar skulls, faces, dragons and roses.
Male models strutted beach shorts in all sizes with cartoon skulls and animal shapes; and checkered briefs with strategically placed Hardy motifs.

Women models displayed a wide choice of skimpy bikinis and one piece suits with cutout styles and plunging necklines.

Also on display were tattoo-emblazoned scarves, visors, suede boots, rain boots, sneakers, handbags and even a water bottle.

Ed Hardy was launched in 2004 by Christian Audigier. In less than four years, Christian Audigier companies have launched nine popular brands, with over sixty licenses. He oversees an international portfolio of designer brands, including Ed Hardy, Christian Audigier, SMET, Crystal Rock, most recently Evel Knievel, C-Bar-A, Savoir Faire, Rock Fabulous, and Paco Chicano.

Christian's successful businesses include U.S. and international wholesale distribution, as well as U.S. online and international retail stores.
